What kind of film does a 120 Holga use?
Medium format 120 film. But now with the 35mm adaptor, you can use normal 35mm film with it. Which is a lot more economical as compared to using 120 film.

What is cross processing?
Cross processing is a term which describes the procedure of deliberately processing photographic film in a wrong chemical solution. Color cross processed photographs are often characterized by unnatural colors and high contrast. The results of cross processing differ from case to case, as the results are determined by many factors such as the make and type of the film used, the amount of light exposed onto the film and the chemical used to develop the film.

What the difference between a N/GN, FN/GFN, CFN/CGFN camera?
G stands for Glass Lens. The normal N/FN/CFN Holga's wear a normal plastic lens. The glass lens are made in Japan, allowing your Holga to take sharper photos.

Does this camera require batteries?
No it doesn't. Only unless it has a flash!

Can i plug this into my com and transfer the photos direct to my com?
No, you can't. This is NOT a digital camera. You're gonna have to develop and scan them in.

What camera do you suggest for a beginner?
First of all, the Holga is already a beginners camera. Secondly, all the cameras above are exactly the same, only difference between them is either the Flash or the Lens. So it would depend on you, as the photographer, what kind of pictures you wanna take. How far do you want to go with this camera? I can't tell you which camera to buy!
